Series A Startup

From zero RevOps
infrastructure to
a working GTM engine

A newly funded startup needed the operating layer for sales, marketing, and customer success before growth exposed every gap.

Situation

The team had momentum, but no real system to scale it.

The company had raised its Series A, hired its first GTM leaders, and started moving beyond founder-led selling. But the stack underneath the motion was still mostly improvised: basic CRM fields, inconsistent lifecycle definitions, manual routing, and reporting that only worked when someone rebuilt it by hand.

Leadership did not want to wait until the funnel was already breaking. They needed the first real revenue architecture built before headcount, channels, and customer volume multiplied the complexity.

Build

Ombrik designed the greenfield GTM system as a managed operating layer, not a one-time setup.

We built the foundational GTM architecture across CRM stages, routing, enrichment, source attribution, outbound workflows, handoff rules, and leadership reporting. Every object, field, trigger, and automation path was tied back to how the company wanted to sell.

The result was a system that could absorb new hires, new segments, and new campaigns without forcing operators to reinvent the workflow every quarter.

Outcome

The company scaled into the system instead of around it.

The sales team gained a clear operating motion from lead capture to closed won. Marketing could see source quality without waiting on spreadsheet cleanup. Customer success had cleaner handoffs before the post-sale process became a retention risk.

Most importantly, leadership had a revenue system that could keep evolving through the managed service model instead of becoming stale the moment implementation ended.
